Brenda Hall Bursary Award Winners

Congratulations to Kylar Rathwell and Shylee Parker

The Brenda Hall Bursary was established in 2002 as a tribute to Brenda Hall, a dedicated Emergency nurse at CPDMH who sadly passed away in December of 2001. This bursary was created and continues to be sustained through generous donations from Brenda's family, friends, and colleagues.

Undoubtedly, the Brenda Hall Bursary holds great significance for our nursing staff, as it provides invaluable support to aspiring students from our local community as they embark on their nursing and health sciences degrees. Over the years, 29 students have been fortunate enough to benefit from this bursary. The primary goal of this financial aid is to alleviate the burden of expenses related to books and essential supplies. We are pleased to share that many of these students return home and end up working at the hospital and joining our family team.

Presenting this year's awards were Merv Hall , along with MedSurg nurse Pam and Taylor (2019 Brenda Hall Bursary recipient) to recipient Kylar Rathwell from Carleton Place High School and Esmail Merani, CPDMH Foundation Board of Director, to deserving graduate Shaylee Parker from Notre Dame Hight School. Both graduating students will be attending school in the fall and begin their career in the field of nursing.
