FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Smile Cookie Campaign Returns April 27 to May 3 –

Help Us Build a Healthier Community!

Carleton Place, ON — Get ready to share a smile! The Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) Foundation is excited to announce the upcoming Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign, returning April 27 through May 3. Once again, the dedicated team at Tim Hortons, led by owners Lisa Peters, Scot Moore, and their family, are rallying the community to support two important local causes: your CPDMH Foundation and the local Lanark County Food Bank (LCFB) - The Hunger Stop.

This year, the goal is bigger than ever. With enthusiastic cookie decorating teams already gearing up, plans are underway to create more Smile Cookies than ever before. Every single cookie sold will help raise much-needed funds to support vital patient care equipment at your community hospital and provide essential resources for families through your local LCBF - The Hunger Stop.

The annual Smile Cookie Campaign is a powerful reminder of what WE can achieve together. Every cookie purchased is more than just a sweet treat, it’s a meaningful contribution toward a healthier, stronger community. Proceeds will ensure local families have access to healthcare and nutritious food when they need it most.

“Our community continues to inspire us with its generosity,” said Robyn Arseneau, Executive Director of the CPDMH Foundation. “As we look ahead to this year’s campaign, we’re excited to once again come together to make a real difference. One dollar from each and every $2 Smile Cookie goes to The Hunger Stop. The other dollar goes straight to helping put the tools in the hands of our healthcare teams at your community CPDMH hospital. This year the list of needed equipment is long as we upgrade and transform digital health and access for all those in the community. Buying a cookie is an incredibly sweet way to give back and support your neighbours in need - one smile at a time.” Tammy Parent, Manager LCFB – The Hunger Stop, agreed and added “behind every Smile Cookie is a neighbour who needs support. Your kindness helps ensure no one in our community goes hungry and everyone has access to quality healthcare.”

At Tim Hortons, preparations are already in full swing. From staff to volunteers, the teams are ready to roll up their sleeves and decorate thousands of cookies with the iconic pink and blue icing smiles.

“We’re excited to kick off another Smile Cookie Campaign,” said Lisa Peters and Scot Moore, owners of Tim Hortons Carleton Place. “Each year, the community shows incredible support, and we’re ready to make this year even bigger. Our teams are prepared to decorate more cookies than ever, we just need the community to help us by purchasing them!”

Over the years, the Smile Cookie Campaign has become a cherished tradition in Carleton Place and throughout the surrounding communities, raising significant funds for local causes and bringing people together through a shared spirit of giving. This year is no different. Mark your calendars for April 27 to May 3 and be sure to stop by your local Tim Hortons to pick up your Smile Cookies. Together, we can raise vital funds, support our neighbours, and build a healthier community — one smile at a time.
