Catch The Ace returns!
The progressive lottery - a partnership with our friends at Legion Branch 192 in Carleton Place - was forced to pause due to COVID-19 closures but we're back!
Tune in to the Legion's Facebook page to watch the draw live each Thursday at 6:30pm.
Please note that the lottery continues under the original lottery license, which means that tickets are sold in-person only. Once this series ends and the Ace of Spades is unveiled, future iterations of the lottery will allow for online ticket sales.
Tickets for the Catch The Ace progressive lottery can be purchased at Legion Branch 192 in Carleton Place after each draw and are available until they are sold out. Physical distancing and mask protocols are in place.

What is a Catch the Ace progressive lottery?
A progressive lottery is a progressive, multiple-draw raffle lottery in which participants purchase tickets for a chance to win: The person who holds the winning ticket selected in each draw has an opportunity to select one playing card from the single deck. If the Ace of Spades is selected, in addition to winning a percentage of the proceeds from the draw, the person will win the progressive jackpot.
If the card selected is not the Ace of Spades, the selected card is removed from the deck and the progressive prize portion of the ticket sales for that draw is rolled over into the progressive jackpot for the next scheduled draw.
The lottery continues until such time as the Ace of Spades has been selected and the progressive jackpot has been awarded. At that point, the event and license conclude. 1. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of tickets for one draw; and 2. The opportunity to win a progressive jackpot by selecting a card from a standard deck of 52 playing cards.
The draw takes place each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Legion Branch 192 in Carleton Place. Tickets purchased are valid for that week's draw only. You do not need to be in attendance to win. Draws are broadcast live on the Legion's Facebook page each week so be sure to Like their page.
