Raising Funds

The CPDMH Auxiliary was originally created to raise funds for the soon-to-be-opened hospital back in the mid-fifties. For more than 60 years, the Auxiliary has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase needed equipment and improve patient care.

Today, our focus has returned to helping patients, families and CPDMH staff throughout the hospital. We no longer fundraise. 

Here are some examples of past purchases:

• a cauterizing unit
  
• a negative pressure isolation room
• wheelchairs
• telemedicine equipment
• a blood gas analyzer
• arthroscopy equipment

• redecorated patient rooms
• new equipment for the emergency department
• improved meal service equipment for patients
